Story:
As a High School drop out, I started touring as a musician singing for 'The World We Knew' from 2004-2013. Briefly booked tours as a booking agent to pay bills after the band broke up, only to realize how clique filled, and mentally draining it was, so I decided to pin my full attention on being apart of the road crew from there on out.

Story:
I have always had a long for live shows my entire life. When I first started my college career I also got a job at my local venue pushing cases. After doing that for a while I started bugging up-and-coming acts to take me on tour with them as their front of house engineer just to go. Everything progressed super fast, and before I knew it I was on the road full time and my career shifted into tour management well. Now I am fortunate enough to make this my full-time career and provide for my family mixing bands and running shows.

CAT Clothing, The Floozies, SunSquabi, aerie by American Eagle, truth, High School Nation, Beebs
Story:
In 2012, I volunteered for a clothing company on Warped Tour at a local date so I could see a favorite band. I was working in retail at the time so I used my selling abilities and by the end of the day, I was offered a job for the rest of the tour. I was hesitant at first considering it was my third concert ever but I'm so happy I took the leap and did it. Since then, I've worked for various bands, brands, and nonprofits. While I've held a couple of different positions on the road, the Merchandise Manager will always be my favorite.

Story:
I worked in the restaurant industry since I was 16. Everything from busboy to assistant GM. At 24 I couldn’t do it anymore and rather than show up to my morning shift I packed my car and went to Florida to clear my head a bit. Shortly after my best friend got a job w/ black veil brides. That job seemed like a dream, to just travel the states and be at a show every night. For the next tour, they were gonna need an extra hand and I was willing to do whatever for any kind of pay to get in the business. Knowing I wasn’t gonna make any money I pawned off all my DVDs and various other belongings to have extra money for the next few months. After a few tours that year with them I ended up becoming their merch guy. 9 years later I still work for BvB and for 4 merch companies, Bandmerch, Bravado, Warner Brothers and Kill the 8.

Acts Worked For:
Unwritten Law, As It Is, Exhorder, Cherry Pools, Hail the Sun, I Prevail, Attila, and The White Noise
Story:
I shaped and planned my entire life around going to shows and the second I got my license I was on road trips to go see shows every. single. weekend. My natural affinity for this industry started young, watching endless music docs and MTV-I always knew my purpose belonged in that world. Through connecting with touring members already on the road, I got my first offer to do merch halfway through college. I chose to continue my education and finished my Social Psychology degree while on the road touring all over the U.S. and Australia. With a degree now in my back pocket, I continue this beloved life of a nomad on the road as a merch manager. I’m married to this industry and aspire to do as many rolls as I can within it until I’m gray and my body is old.

Acts Worked For:
Silversun Pickups, Postmodern Jukebox, Jonathan Wilson, New Year's Day, Equal Vision Records, Dawes, Lucius, Issues, Hot Chip

Growing up heavily surrounded by music I knew that's where I wanted my career to be focused. I attended Butler University for a degree in Recording Industry Studies where I had multiple internships with different record labels. Shortly after graduation, I got hired on as the marketing coordinator for a local venue called Bogart's. After 4 years of working there, I knew I needed to get out of the office world and left that role looking for work on the road. I started handling merchandise for Silversun Pickups shortly after, and the ball kept rolling from there and I never looked back.

Story:
I ended up starting my career via a super funny and long story of unintentionally being in the right place at the right time when I was 19. More or less just had someone point at me and go "You! get in the van!". I became obsessed with the lifestyle thrown at me, being on the road felt more like home than home ever did. I grew up involved in my closest local music scene in Winston-Salem and in my own bands, so it was a happy accident.
Working everything from small tours selling 15 tickets per night to running merch tents for festivals like EDC Las Vegas and Coachella, I am extremely fortunate to have turned traveling the world with my camera and my friends into my career.

Story:
I started playing in bands/going to shows at a pretty young age and it quickly became a huge part of my life; after a few months in college for recording, I realized that someone was getting paid to run sound at all the shows I was constantly attending. Soon after that I found myself working/interning at a local venue in Phoenix, busting my ass to do anything I could to learn more or get more experience. I started touring a year or so after that; I continued to grow my skills, got some bigger gigs, and haven't stopped since.
Mac Praed

Hands Like Houses, Set It Off, The Faim, Palaye Royale
Story:
Growing up, I was always touring/involved in my local scene. When my own band fell apart, I continued going to gigs as a photographer and tried to shoot every gig that came through my home town, eventually a band wanted me on tour, and from there I grew and picked up work with bigger artists, and was touring practically full time until lockdown happened!
Jason "JVAL" Valhuerdi
Tour Merchandise Manager
Years Touring:
16 years
Acts Worked For:
Nonpoint, The Sounds, Hot Hot Heat, Rise Against, Yellowcard, Silverstein, Matt & Kim, Minus the Bear, Death Cab For Cutie, We The Kings, All Time Low, In Flames, U2, Drake, BTS, Live Nation Merchandise, Vans Warped Tour, Coachella
Story:
After being at the right place at the right time in my life and contemplating my job future, my touring career essentially fell in my lap when one of my best friends called me up and asked “Wanna go on tour and assist me with merch? I’ll teach you the ropes.” I didn’t know it then, but my life would change forever when I agreed to join him on a full circle US tour following the bus in a rented Dodge Neon. Once I got a taste of grimy clubs, dingy old theaters, shitty hotels, faxing in merch reports nightly at a Flying J for $4 a page or getting pulled over by border patrol for having a lockbox full of cash, I knew I never wanted to turn back to anything that stayed in the same city longer than a few days. Almost immediately I knew that I wanted to be on the road till I was too old to pick up a box anymore. My purpose and my soul feel at home on the road. Meeting new people, facing new challenges and a daily changing environment keeps things fresh. It takes away from the monotony of stationary life.
I love what touring has given me. Experiencing places all around the world I never would have been able to afford to see. Meeting all the wonderful humans and best friends I otherwise would have never known.
From the vans and trailers to the busses and box trucks. From the bars and small clubs to the arenas and stadiums, my life has been an amazing adventure I never thought I’d have and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
